The Interreg Aurora funded project Borderless, secure and vibrant North is organising discussion events in the areas covered by the Council of Torne Valley and Fell Lapland Development in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
The purpose of the events is to promote cross-border cooperation through information and discussion and to give the opportunity to influence future cross-border infrastructure projects that are important in terms of security of supply, safety and the region’s vitality. Reindeer herding, the Sámi people and agricultural entrepreneurs in Sweden, Finland and Norway are the groups on which the development of cross-border infrastructure will have the greatest impact.
Another important issue is the preparation of the common labor market and business area of the border regions for possible future crises and exceptional situations.
