Partner search: Kaustinen Sub-region and JPYP, two regional development organizations operating in the rural areas of Central and Southern Ostrobothnia, are interested in joining or forming a consortium with like-minded partners within the framework of the Interreg Aurora programme.

Both organizations work in regions characterized by a strong culture of entrepreneurship, where micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in economic growth, social well-being, and regional competitiveness. Currently, these regions are navigating both challenges and opportunities brought about by the energy transition. As some traditional industries undergo transformation or decline, investments in renewable energy are creating new business networks and employment prospects. Additionally, both regions have been designated as UNESCO sites, opening up exciting new possibilities for tourism development.

We are keen to connect with organizations that have project ideas related to the following themes:

  • Energy transition and renewable energy
  • Bio- and circular economy
  • Digitalization in rural areas
  • Sustainable tourism

We are open to discussions about potential collaboration and consortium opportunities for project proposals within these focus areas. At this stage, we welcome all inquiries and are eager to explore possible partnership roles.
