The working life and society are changing with a fast pace due to digitalization, climate change, conflicts and other phenomena and events. At the same time, the necessary skills and competencies that our youth need in the future might be different than today.
Students and teachers from secondary level schools in Northern Finland and Northern Sweden will meet in Oulu on the 6th-7th September to learn about the possibilities of future working life through interesting local company visits and to develop their future skills in common workshops. The event features a keynote speaker, inventor, author and futurist, Perttu Pölönen who talks about future working life and how technology and social media affect us.
The event is part of a larger development initiative, the Interreg Auroria funded project Aurora Entrepreneurialis project, which aims to develop sustainable entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial culture and cross-border collaboration in secondary level schools in the Bothnian Arc and Torne Valley regions. During the spring 2024, the students and teachers participating in the project will head to Sweden, where they will have a chance to learn more about the local business life and to see a student company fair organized by Ung Företagsamhet Norrbotten together by the local students and teachers participating in the year-long Junior Achievement Sweden’s Company Program.
The Aurora Entrepreneurialis project is coordinated by City of Oulu, Ung Företagsamhet Norrbotten and Vocational College Lappia.
Welcome to My Future – Our Future event in Oulu on 6th-7th September, where you can learn more about the project and meet the students and teachers. The event is organized in Aleksinkulma and BusinessAsema.
