Class to Class collaboration between schools in the Aurora Entrepreneurialis project

Within the Aurora Entrepreneurialis project, one core aim is to enable and strengthen cross-border collaboration between secondary level schools in the region. The goal is that these partnerships between schools would become long-lasting also after the project and that the schools can continue creating meaningful collaboration activities within entrepreneurship education but also in a wide range of other topics. The first full school year in the project has been busy in terms of piloting a diverse set of different cross-border activities together with individual classes and teachers. Read more to

Welcome to Sustainabilisation – the importance of sustainable entrepreneurship, with Mikael Botnen Diamant. Mikael Botnen Diamant is a sustainability expert, author, and educator. He has previous experience working with Sida (the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) and the Red Cross. Nordic Wood Construction Webinar 21 August 2024

On August 21, from 12-15 (CET) the Interreg Aurora funded project SCABEAC is organizing a “Nordic Wood Construction Webinar” with speakers from Sweden, Norway and Finland. The webinar will cover topics like sustainability with conscious hospitality (with Wood Hotel, Bodö), how to make multistorey wooden apartment buildings financially worthwhile in Sweden as well as architectural design and logs in modern building in Finland. Kick off webinars for Arctic Waste Forum

The Interreg Aurora funded project NOWA project kicked off the Arctic Waste Forum (AWF) consortion activities by organizing three webinars in each of the native languages spoken in the project. First webinar was organized by the NOWA Norwegian partner Remiks Miljøpark AS on the 7th of June, followed by KAMK UAS (Kajaani University of Applied Sciences) on the 10th of June, and Swedish webinar organized by REBAB – Restproduktbearbetning i Boden AB on the 17th. Discovered great interest in app for hiking trails

Interreg.no has written an article in Norwegian about the Interreg Aurora funded project From Lab to Landmarks: A Cross-border Initiative for Science, Discovery and Tourism. The project has created digital content for nature trails in Enontekiö (Finland), Nord-Troms (Norway) and Kiruna (Sweden). By collaborating with research institutions, tourism actors, schools and local communities, the project seeks to improve visitors experiences and promote sustainable tourism development in sub-Arctic Scandinavia. Interreg Aurora approves 15 new cross-border projects

The two Interreg Aurora Steering Committees, for sub-area Sápmi and sub-area Aurora, have met for the fourth time in the funding period of 2021-2027. The meeting was held the 12-13 June 2024 in Bodø/Budejju/Bådåddjo. Eilen Zakariassen from Nordland fylkeskommune welcomed the Committees to the first European Capital of Culture north of the Arctic Circle and gave a presentation about Nordland, a thriving industrial and creative region. This is an article by Interreg.no We often hear that we should promote our projects using “Storytelling” because it is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. Yes, people are tired of the technical language we often use in reporting, and we do want to promote what we do in a fun and engaging way, but how do we do that? Our projects are complex, with multiple partners and many technical facts that are hard to explain to people who are not experts in that field.
