High school students and teachers from northern Finland and Sweden will meet on the 10-11/5 in Oulu to collaborate around the themes of entrepreneurial culture and sustainable entrepreneurship. This is the first meeting in a new three-year Interreg Aurora project run by City of Oulu, Ung Företagsamhet Norrbotten and ammattiopisto Lappia.
During the premiere exchange visit teachers and students will take part in workshops around the project’s core themes of entrepreneurial culture in schools, sustainable entrepreneurship in education, and cross-border collaboration. They will also get to visit several local companies from different fields in the Oulu area to learn about their sustainability work. The event also provides a platform for teachers and students to form cross-border networks and to start new partnerships between schools and individuals that last throughout the project. The results of the event are documented and used to develop ways of cross-border collaboration and entrepreneurship education for the schools to utilise during and after the project.
Sustainability is a core focus in the project and coming activities during the three years are student trade fair exchanges, sustainable innovation contests and class to class collaboration between Finnish and Swedish schools.
